Dear John,
Joel and I couldn't be more thrilled with our new home. I had a vision in my mind of the house and Zacker put it on paper, but you and your crew made it a reality. Your contractors were the best. They were all gentlemen and perfectionists in their fields. I know that you demand the best and the house shows that. All the suggestions from you and Bud were excellent. Everyone who comes in notices the attention to the smallest detail. I even have seen people taking pictures of the front from the street! We look forward to many years of family fun and enjoyment in our fabulous new home. Thanks again to everyone involved!

Dear John,
Building a house can be both a rewarding and difficult experience. It could have been an even more difficult task when construction was happening while both Lois and myself were living in Florida while this was going on.
We want to express our satisfaction over the wonderful home you and your staff constructed for our family and us. We can honestly attest that we had no problems or aggravation during its completion. The quality of the house was perfect and anything requireing attention was promptly addressed. The final result can be seen and appreciated.
Allow Lois and myself to thank Bob, Al, and you for a most rewarding result.
Wishing your staff, you, and your family well.
Best,
Sonny

Dear John,
Thank you so much for building us such a beautiful house and for making the process fun! Your professional guidance led us from a renovation that would have been very nice, but not exactly the result we all desired, to a complete demolition with a new design and construction. Out new home is nothing short of spectacular. To have a vision and see it appear before your eyes is remarkable. Every sub-contractor was excellent. Every supplier and contact person was helpful and knowledgable. Working without a designer, the input from Tim at design studio, Carol at Artistic Hardware, and Holly at Coast Tile was invaluable. John Sullivan is the best! He was always there and on top of everything, seeing to the completion of each job to perfection. The entire Regina organization is a true model of caring, pride and professionalism. They get an A+ in customer satisfaction from us.
Our wish is to enjoy many years in our beuatiful home and for our children and grandchildren to always have special memories of "summers at the shore".
Our heartfelt thanks to you for your support and friendship.
Sincerely,
Marlene and Barry Green

Dear John,
As you know, I am an extremely busy person and for me to take the time out of my very busy schedule to write this letter is an extrordinary testament to how I feel about our new home. We are indebted to you, your employees and your subcontractors for turning our dream into reality. In fact, the house turned out better than we could have imagined.
From the initial review of the architect's drawings, through the long construction process, to the final items on the punch list, you were there to guarantee that everything was done the "Regina Builders Way". If it wasn't for you, with your experience and knowledge, the house would not have turned out the way it did. As we all know, architects draw plans but do not realize what actually happens in the field. There is no one that could have built this house except for you, with the care and the foresight that you have given us on this job. Being involved in the construction business myself, I know that your attention to detail is extremely rare. The suggestions you made throughout the construction process saved us money and at the same time resulted in a much better home. Had we chosen another general contractor I don't believe the results would have been anywhere near what you achieved. And I know the process would not have gone as smoothly.
Again, John, Ellen and I are thrilled with our new home and you may certainly add us to the long list of satisfied customers of Regina Builders.
Sincerely,your friends,
Jake & Ellen Simon
Dear John,
Thank you for being a very caring and thoughtful person and for the magnificent job you did on our beautiful new home. You truly take on a job as if it were your own home.
Very fondly,
Erica & Jim Buchweitz

Dear John,
We really enjoyed having all of you for dinner and only hope we can all stay in touch. We never would have thought that after our experience of building in Allentown that we could honestly say that we had a builder whose friendship we truly value. In Matty's words "cold turkey" is hard so you will probably still get "hello" e-mails and holiday greetings from us. As we told you on Saturday, we really love our new home and like you said it was going to be, I really had fun (most of the time). Dave was great to work with and no matter how many times I asked for the same measurements, he always gave them to me without losing his patience. You have a great group of contractors, not only are they experts at what they do, but they were always pleasant and helpful whenever I was there. Connie is truly incredible, and and you could probably tell, I really enjoy cooking in my new kitchen. People have asked us, "would we change anything if we had a chance?" we can honestly say "no". All along the journey you made suggestions that we never would have thought of and therefore nothing was really left out. It is hard to believe that it is just about 2 years ago that we first met and started this project--sometimes it seems like 10 years and other times it seems like yesterday. When we called your references before we started it was hard to comprehend how everyone thought that you walked on water--well John you do!--When you were working on our house we truly felt at times that you did the work as if it were your own. You take pride in every last detail and never fail to look out for the owner. If you need another reference we would love to be part of the John Regina Fan Club, call on us at any time. We love our new place and have shown it off many times with the pride of a new parent showing off one of their kids. Thank you to the Regina Gang for being not only our builder but our friends along the journey.
Sincerely,
Roni & Tom Englert
Dear John,
Donna and I are extremely pleased with our new backyard and we want to thank you for the excellent job you, Bob and the rest of your crew have done. You should all be very proud of your work and we will refer you whenever possible.
Sincerely,
Michael D. Dillon

John: This is a letter Harvey and I have wanted to send to all your past, present and future clients. We both feel you were a gift sent to us at an extremely stressful time in our lives. Our gratitude goes beyond words.
We were at the end of a horrific experience with another contractor who was renovating the first floor of our summer home. We were at the point of exasperation from the poor standards and quality of work this contractor produced. All we wanted was the job completed and never look at his face again!
In the mean time, I had been living out of state most of the time (retired from my Interior Design business for over six years) pursuing other creative endeavors. Harvey and I agreed the construction was his responsibility and I wanted nothing to do with it. Twenty five years in the business was enough for me.
On Monday morning February 3rd 2003, Harvey received a call from the contractor, that a pipe had broken sometime over the weekend and water was pouring out of the house. Water was also pouring out of the ceilings and cabinets of our brand new kitchen, laundry room, and bath room on the first floor. The living room, master bed room and back bed room ceilings had fallen in on all of our personal art and accessories packed from the first floor. It was a disaster and we literally lost the house.
Our insurance agent recommended her builder, John Regina, Regina Builders. John met with Harvey immediately. After the meeting, Harvey enthusiastically told me, “John is such a nice guy and very competent. I’m totally comfortable with him doing our renovation “. John made a suggestion, “to think out of the box “on this project. He felt we could look at this as an opportunity to build our dream house rather than just fixing up a house in which we were never completely happy. We thought that made sense.
Next it was my turn to meet John. I was immediately struck by the gentleman that walked through my door. He was so supportive and sympathetic to our situation. He exuded an enthusiasm and joy in his work that just made you want to be a part of it. He did everything he could to help us with the clean up, for the insurance company, and the salvage of our personal items. I found Him especially endearing, when he insisted on being present at a meeting with an unsavory man from a salvage company. I was struck immediately by John’s protective nature; he was not going to let me meet this big, bad, ruff around the edges, bully alone. John was clearly going to help and protect us at all levels of this project. This preconstruction support made us feel even more confident that he would be there for us on the other phases of the project as well.
John had no idea that I was a professional interior designer when we started the planning stage of the project. He was a little shocked when he saw my revised plans of the interior of the second floor at an architectural meeting. At the same time I was taken back by John’s outstanding architectural eye! He alone made changes on the exterior and interior details that were brilliant! John suggested that I become a part of the team with him at the helm and Joe as my project manager. What I didn’t realize at that time was how John would challenge my design creativity. Did I have fun!
After working with numerous builders, both personally and professionally with my clients, I have never had such a positive experience. John emotes honesty, integrity, and a passion for building that I have never before encountered. Most of all his patience with me and all the changes I put him through are admirable. I remember saying to John that I never make changes.
As I look back, I really enjoyed our sparing to make a point when we disagreed on contractor invoices and situations. John was always fair to his contractors and clients. Of course I wanted it to be one sided. MY SIDE! (By the way John, I really enjoyed watching the blood vessels in your head expand as you kept your cool with me. I’m sure you developed a growing compassion for Harvey’s debating skills with me.)
We had a lot of fun too! John especially had fun the day he personally laid out my kitchen backsplash design on the wall. What impressed me most was John’s knowledge of every aspect of construction. He alone always found a solution for my design challenges and made my design ideas a reality.
I also have to say as a business man, John employs men, who mirror his work ethic and are a pleasure to work with. It’s clear by the devotion of his employees that John is an extremely fair and supportive boss.
Harvey and my whole family now have a home in Margate that we absolutely LOVE thanks to my,” MASTER BUILDER,” John Regina. We look forward to talking to anyone of John’s perspective clients who wish to see our home and hear our praises.
Although the signature is mine, the thoughts are from both of us.
Sincerely,
Susan Levin
Dear John,
Dianne and I want to thank you so very much for the great job you did on building our new home. The project was a success on so many levels, and working with you and your staff was indeed a pleasure.
It was always apparent to us that you and your subcontractors possessed an extraordinary degree of competence and courtesy. However, it was also so very refreshing to see that not only you and your staff, but all of your subcontractors as well, actually cared and took great pride in their work. This was something that made us feel even better as the project moved along, particularly in this day and age of "get it done" mentality.
We also sincerely appreciated the way that you took great pains from the very beginning - before you knew really who we were or what kind of customers we would be - to utilize every effort possible based on your experience to make our home a better one through communications with the architect and designer. Your courteous suggestions resulted in several subtle though extremely important design modifications that made the home all the better.
Our experience in building our new home - something people many times fear - was nothing less than totally enjoyable. When friends see our home and admire it, they say words to the effect of how difficult of a task it must have been for Dianne and me. I answer simply by stating it was not difficult at all but rather quite pleasurable - we had John Regina as our builder.
Once again, Dianne and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your efforts, and the consummate professionalism and care you brought to the task. I will not hesitate to recommend you unqualifiedly to any friend or client for a new commercial building, home or addition.
Thanks again. Personal regards.
Cordially,
Steve Nehmad

Dear John,
Sheila and I were just talking and would like to express our thoughts to you. The house on Kenyon Avenue was tremendous undertaking for us, and we want to thank you for making this undertaking easier. Your ability to research and tackle any problem no matter how big or small was outstanding. The pride you, your staff, and your sub contractors take in their work is beyond words.
When we met the first time there was something about you that gave us the confidence to put the building of our "dream house in your hands. We were right! Words cannot express how delighted we are over the way the house turned out. You should be extremely proud yourself, Joe and all of the other people you work with on a daily basis, they are all professionals.
Again, we want to say thank you for a job well done. We would highly recommend Regina Builders for any job no matter how big or small.
Best regards,
Sheila and Marvin Greenberg

This letter is being written for John Regina, general contractor and builder.
I had known John Regina for a number of years prior to requesting his services for converting a commercial property into a surgery center and office space for Howard and later remodeling our home from the foundation up. Prior to general construction, I called upon him to handle our home repairs when previous contractors who had built additions for us would not respond to requests to return for repairs or perform additional work.
John is a businessman, tradesman, carpenter; generally knowledgeable in plumbing, electrical, masonry, and all areas of general construction while being genuinely dedicated and principled. His job as general contractor involves not only management of his own carpenters, but also the thorough, persistent follow up with subcontractors. Having worked so closely with him during the construction of our home I found him dedicated and conscientious to his work. He met with us during architect and design meetings to offer practical advice as well as foresight into how particulars would be more effective. He also saved us considerable time and money when architectural overkill dragged on unnecessarily. He also follows through until the project is totally complete.
John carefully considered which sub-contractor would be best for the job determining who would best service us not only now but in the future. I watched John agonize over specifics that when I previously worked with contractors I was told to research information on my own and arrange for materials because it was not worth their time. John however met with me for countless hours to locate what I wanted. He demonstrated over and over that his thoroughness and concern for our satisfaction was worth the additional hours he had to spend to make everything just right.
In addition to his thoroughness he always kept the dollar figure in mind trying to be considerate of how to stay in budget. Yet he showed an innovative and creative side of contracting by brainstorming and researching to develop a better product, unwilling to settle for just the easiest material at hand. John Regina also shows a personal insightfulness that those who have the resources to "build big" or "small" might be surprised by. He observes his client and rapidly determines his/her tastes and preferences; he then wisely makes choices based on how his client would respond. His intuitiveness and sensitivity are qualities are not often associated with construction; but qualities, which John applies appropriately. He is responsible for having broadened materials available in community supply houses and brought about a superior quality of workmanship to his trade, which in turn has demanded excellence from sub-contractors working for him. He settles only for the best of quality!
It has been my hope to enumerate the areas of expertise demonstrated by John Regina as builder, general contractor, and innovator. It is my pleasure to be available for further discussion
Sincerely,
L. Gayle Gross
Dear John,
Our family has just completed the first summer in our new home and I thought it would be a good time to write you. I call it "our new home" even though I grew up and lived there since I was a little boy.
We are sure that you remember all the design problems that were encountered in the initial phase of the project. Eileen and I had made the decision that it was too expensive and we couldn't go through with it. Of course, you stepped in and piece-by-piece worked with Don Zacker and us and finally a design was established that met our families' needs within a cost structure that we could live with. I can tell you that if it weren't for your guidance we would have never even entertained a revised project.
As you know, after receiving the initial contract there were many questions and still many apprehensions. Your patience and ability to solve each question on the contract greatly reduced any nervousness that we had.
You can't imagine how exciting it was for me to see out little house that had been in our family since 1950 grow into a modern, up to date structure. We were also confident that the construction was being done up to the highest standards. Your ability to solve what we considered to be major problems really put us at ease.
Each step of the way you were there with us. Pushing when a decision had to be made, but there to help us make it. I also realized that there were a few times when you had to be firm to protect your own interests. After a while, it didn't seem that we had a contractor-client relationship, but a partnership to build a home that we could both be proud of!
You have shined were most contractors fail, after the project has been completed and they have been paid, unlike other contractors, you have been there to take care of any little adjustment that had to be made after moving in, (very few) This really shows a great deal of what you are about!
John, in a business where a great many clients end up unhappy, you have shown your professionalism through out. We would be pleased to show our home to any prospective client and it would be our pleasure to give you the highest recommendation possible.
We wish all the best to you and your family in the future
Sincerely,
Mitchell and Eileen Miller
To Whom It May Concern;
My wife and I have been clients of Regina Builders for over 15 years. John and his staff have done numerous projects on two different houses for us.
The heart of Regina builders is John Regina himself. He is honest, trustworthy, easy to work with and above all an honest businessman. He also demands the same of his workers and subcontractors. Therefore, I know that when his staff finishes a job at my home I will get good workmanship, at a fair price that is always backed by the Regina name. It there is ever the slightest problem; John is there to make it right.
The last job Regina Builders did for us was a major renovation of our entire home during the summer of 1999. The work was done in record time. Our friends bet us we would never move back in October 1 as promised. Needless to say, I collected several bets and large apologies when we moved back on October 1. We never worried, John Regina never made us a promise that he did not keep. As always we were pleased with the finished product and have received numerous compliments on the job.
We were also pleased with the system of payment that John now offers. His cost plus concept, allowed us control of expenses, while allowing the opportunity to change plans according to our taste and budget.
I have recommended Regina Builders to my friends and never received one complaint from them. Therefore, from their experience and my own I would not hesitate to recommend Regina Builders again and again.
A Satisfied Customer,
Norman A. Steinthal
Hi John
We are starting to get the porch and the outside area ready for the summer season and just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with your work. The quality of your work is exemplary and brings nothing but praises from everyone who visits.
The process of building two houses in the past 6 years has been a real learning experience, which helps me now as a member of the Longport Planning and Zoning Board. I can now use my experience with Regina Builders as a benchmark for the professionalism and quality that I would hope all builders employ.
As you know, we have had a history of problems with other builders and were therefore concerned when we looked for a builder for our recent projects. After our experiences with a dishonest builder in Pennsylvania, we never thought we would contract with a builder again.
Our experiences with the builder of our current house were certainly not as bad as that. I'd say Jim was an average builder, which is a compliment after our other experiences, but not one that we wanted to continue working with for other projects. We are still waiting for Jim to return and complete minor repairs, some of which we will probably have to hire our own contractor to complete. He does not independently follow up unless prodded and certainly does not provide the quality that you do. Some of the problems we still have are obvious and we are embarrassed for Jim when friends and neighbors notice them. We felt that he should supervise his subcontractors more closely and improve upon his quality control.
We were greatly impressed by your concern for quality, and for your active supervision of your staff and subcontractors. We appreciate the attention to detail that you spent, and wonderful suggestions that vastly improved the original architectural specifications.
If we ever were building a new house again, you would be the only builder we would call. As always, you are welcome to use us for a reference, and we would be happy to show your work to others. Just give them our address and tell them they are welcome to come out back and have a look.
Thanks again,
Alan and Barbara Neibauer

Dear John,
I just wanted to thank you for a job well done. I have been involved in many building projects and appreciate the way you and your employees handled EVERY detail to perfection. Your suggestions were right on target and well thought out. The subcontractors were also the same high standard as your employees. When we originally talked about price, I was hesitant about the cost plus concept, but in the end I now feel it is the easiest and most reasonable way to do it, especially when dealing with someone as honest as you. We are thrilled with our house and thank you again for a very satisfying experience and the beginning of a new friendship. If you would like to have any prospective clients call or visit don't hesitate to ask.
Very truly yours,
Jeff Morgan
Dear John:
This is a letter of THANKS to a quality person who built us a quality home.
You have a keen attention to detail and insistence on doing the job right (I hate to use the word perfection, but you come close). From the beginning to the present we have enjoyed the total experience of building our home and working with you.
You know that I love arches and when the time came you asked me if I wanted them even though they weren't on the drawings. When the showers for the bathrooms that we ordered came in you questioned our selection and aided us in getting them replaced. These are two incidences of many that due to your extra effort came out right for us.
We enjoy our home immensely and once again, thank you.
You are a man of your word and then some.
Sincerely yours,
Joel B. Cohen Peggy Cohen
Dear John:
With the imminent completion of our fourth project together only a month away, we at RMK Design Associates, Inc. wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for jobs well done! It has been both a pleasure and a great experience working with you. You and your organization have made our work much easier and the final products outstanding.
In our field of medical interior design, with a national clientele list we have worked with many different contractors over the last thirteen years. It is our experience that the projects that run the smoothest, and are the most successful are those controlled by well organized, professional construction companies. We all think your company is that type or organization. You keep in close contact with us and the client, return calls promptly, coordinate document changes efficiently, and when design conflicts arise you work well with all parties involved to come up with satisfactory solutions.
Your commitment to quality control and attention to detail have always been evident in all the work you and your subcontractors have done. Thank you for that consistent approach to everything we have worked on together. We would be happy to work with you on any type or size of project or recommend you to any prospective client.
Sincerely,
Randal Kiemnec, A.S.I.D.
John,
Thank you as always for a job efficiently, thoroughly and well done.
You make it a pleasure.
Sincerely,

Dear John:
Thank you for your tremendous effort in the construction and project management of Horizon Eye Care, Horizon Laser & Eye Surgery Center, and Horizon Optical. Without your effort it would have been much more difficult to accomplish these projects.
Not only was your skill level and management technique impeccable, but also your ability to bring high quality subcontractors to the job was greatly appreciated. Your staff, as well as the subcontracted staffs, were always professional and sought the same degree of excellence that we strive to provide here in the eye care business.
As an administrator, I am constantly concerned with deadlines and budgets. By providing accurate estimates and solid time tables you made my job of orchestrating the practice move and the state inspections much easier. Your constant commitment to bringing the project to completing on time and on budget is testimony to your professionalism as a building contractor and was sincerely appreciated.
Thank you again for a job well done. I look forward to working with you and Regina Builders on other construction projects in the future. If any of your future clients would like to view your work here at Horizon Eye Care or would like to speak to me about your part in the project please ask them to call me.
Sincerely,
Suzanne D. Bruno Administrator
Dear John,
Mary Anne and I want to express our appreciation for your involvement in the renovation of our shore home. I stress the term "involvement" because you went far beyond the builder/contractor role; you were our partner, advisor, and friend.
When we first met you, in August "99, we were immediately impressed with your openness and character. We had only preliminary layouts that depended on complicated structural and architectural factors; and we had not found a suitable architect. However, it was essential that the house be useable this summer. Based on knowledge of other builders in Margate, we were wary that unexpected delays and quality problems were common; so, we were concerned about losing the summer's use. Therefore I spoke to many of your past customers; every one went to great extent to praise your work; no one had a negative thought about you. Now, we know why.
From September to December, you devoted a lot of time guiding us with design options, selecting an architect, and reviewing architect's plans. With cost as a major factor, we considered of various degrees of renovation. Although there was only a gentleman's agreement that Regina Builders would have priority consideration if we proceeded, you were fully involved. You demonstrated experience and wide expertise in space planning, architecture, materials, and construction. Most of all, we were impressed by your overall concern for our interests, and that it was enjoyable working with you.
In January, we decided to proceed, and we established a cost-plus contract with Regina Builders. Six month before this, it would have been unthinkable for us to skip the bidding phase, or to have a cost-plus agreement with any contractor. But our relationship had advanced; we were comfortable that you were exceptionally qualified, and that you governed your business and your conduct with fairness.
Our appreciation of you increased as demolition began in mid-February. You were not comfortable with the second floor layout. So, you and we collectively redesigned it, to make better use of space. There were a number of design versions as we faxed each other's drawing back and forth. You spent considerable time at the drawing board- not normal service provided by a builder.
Your personal relationships expedited the permits, and you introduced us to your preferred suppliers. All had your business approach: they were knowledgeable, nice people who treated customers fairly. They worked closely with you on scheduling. When necessary, you helped us make decisions with them. In fine tuning the kitchen layout, a joint effort of yours and ours maximized cabinet space.
The Regina Builders workmen were first class in their work and how they treated us. In particular, your foremen, Joe Woodfall, always was willing to take time from his hectic job, to make us aware of what was happening and to answer questions: Joe is an asset to your business.
Your subcontractors all fit with your business philosophy; they were very qualified, provided good advice and took extraordinary steps when necessary. Two examples on move-in date (Friday, of July Fourth weekend) stand out. Due to the compressed schedule, power was not connected until that afternoon; therefore nothing requiring electricity could be checked until then. When a problem with one electrical circuit was detected, there were five electricians swarming around for many hours, well into the evening to fix it. And, when the water heater would not stay on, the plumbing contractor, who was very sick, personally came to diagnose and fix it. He and Joe worked on it well into that evening. These people were committed to doing whatever was required for us to have a livable house that day.
Mary Anne and I are convinced that your involvement was the most important reason the project proceeded so smoothly and quickly. You led us through the many decisions, taking us to see examples of stairways, doors, shingles, siding, fixtures, etc. There were phone calls and e-mails almost every day, and on-site meetings every week. Typically, you would tell us that a decision would be needed by a certain date, educate us on the options, estimate the costs, and give us your opinion. We quickly learned that when your response to our decision was "Oh Really", that we should do some more homework.
Examples typify your commitment. You estimated at least five months of construction time, and were not able to give you the "go-ahead" until mid-February. Knowing the importance of the shore house to our family, and that late-July to early-August would be devoted to our daughter's wedding, we suspect that you quietly pushed to have it ready before July. I know your last two weeks were hectic, but you never expressed that to us. On the Friday night we moved-in, you and Joe were there until after 9PM, making sure everything worked. Then the next morning, you appeared to powerwash the house!
You responded quickly to problems. When the bathroom tile trim did not "look right" to you, you immediately called us, and had the work re-done. When the cooktop did not "look right", you had the supplier replace it, and then replace that one. After we moved in, there were only a few small items on the "To Do" list; all were taken care of with a very short time.

The quality of your work is excellent. We are very happy with our new house, and were able to enjoy it for most of the summer. It looks great, is very livable, and more than fulfills all of our requirements. Our family loves it. The neighbors like it. Moreover, we enjoyed the process of building it; we did not a single disagreement with you.
We know that our house would not be as nice, nor would we have been in this summer, without you as a businessman. Your business is based on fairness, communication, deep experience, broad knowledge, and personal relationships; as your customers, we benefited from these principles.
Most important of all, we had the opportunity to know John Regina, the person. We are better for it. Your business principles are just an extension of you.
Thank you,
William J. Feehery

John,
Gloria and I wanted to AGAIN extend our thanks and gratitude to you and your men for taking us through the building experience without a hitch, and bringing the project in on-time and within budget as promised. Dealing with you and your crew was a pleasant experience to say the least, and you always had great suggestions as well as time for all of our questions. After moving in to our "custom Regina Home" at 304 Nassau in August of 1993, you have still been there for any needs-and John-we're proud to say that there were never any problems to address-a tribute to your constant attention to detail and planning. We have enjoyed our home and referred friends who have also had a positive "Regina experience". John-we would do it all again with you as our builder and friend, and we always say to others-"talk to the rest-But, go with the best?..John Regina.
Sincerely,
Len and Gloria Harman
Dear Mr. John Regina,
On behalf of the Sisters of our convent and the entire Community of the Little Servant Sisters, I would like to express our gratitude to you and your team for your wonderful work you have done for our convent.
The renovation of the convent was enormous. All the time after you have fixed one problem, you had discovered another. We were aware about your concern and caring to really satisfy us with every aspect of the building. You and your staff performed a magnificent job. You were very patient and cooperative with us when we bother you always with the questions concerning the building.
All the sisters and guests admire how beautiful is our convent now after the renovation. I would like to commend you and your staff for your diligent team-work. Your commitment, genuine love for your work and patience with us, have made this possible.
We enjoy now living in this convent. It is people like you that make this world a better place. You are a great organizer, performing your duties in a most professional manner.
May God reward your kindness and cooperation with us. May He bless you, your staff and your family always with the loving care of His and our Mother Mary.
Yours respectfully and gratefully
Sister M Xavier and Sisters
Dear John, December 16, 2003
I have been meaning to write this letter for some time now, but free time seems to allude me. I wanted to let you know how happy we are with the addition to our home and the fact that you were our builder. Your attention to detail and level of honesty and quality work are superior.
On a personal note, as a mother of 4 small boys, including a newborn, you were very helpful and patient with me throughout the entire process of construction. You did your best to not inconvenience us as much as possible and that meant a lot to me at the time. Your workmen were very tolerant of 3 little boys running around them with their 40 questions. And John, you were very patient while trying to communicate with me over 3 fighting boys and a crying baby. In spite of it all, our new home has become everything that we wanted it to be. It?s too bad it?s not made of rubber so that it would be indestructible to the children, but that is what it is about having boys, I guess.
I just wanted to let you know how pleased we are. People never neglect to say when and why they are unhappy with things, it is nice to hear the positive. Now that construction is over, you have been very receptive and quick to take care of any problems that have arisen, thus still making things easier on me again.
Sincerely,
Mara Marczyk

Dear John,
Harriet and I would like to thank you for building our dream house. Your input into the planning, attention to detail, desire to build the best house possible, and requiring work to be done correctly made our experience working with you and your staff- especially Joe- actually enjoyable. I know that the word enjoyable is almost never used to describe having a house built. However, in your case it is appropriate. Our knowing that you were as concerned as we were that the house be built correctly enabled us not to worry whether inappropriate shortcuts were being taken. We knew that you were making sure the right things were being done. Furthermore, your willingness, if not desire, to talk to us about alternatives and give us your suggestions and reasons for using one approach versus another made us feel that you had our interests in mind and that we could rely on you. This resulted in the house being better than the one designed by the architect. Moreover, when we decided that we would like to modify his plans, we were able to discuss our ideas with you and get your input. In our mind, this approach led to an improved end result. Lastly, the fact that you could do all of this and meet the target date for completing the house is incredible. When we told our friends that you agreed to complete the house in five and one-half months, they all said were foolish to believe it. When they saw the house completed by the target date and toured the inside to see what was done, they thought that we must have used the best builder on the island. As far as we are concerned, we did!
We have told many people that you are the best builder in south Jersey and would recommend that anyone building a new, or renovating an existing house use your firm. I know they will be better served by you than if they hire anyone else.
Cordially,
Ken Harris
PS- Joe, you and I still have to play a round of golf at Linwood. I would like to take you when it warms up. Let's plan for the end of May or early June.

Dear John,
Prior to choosing Regina Builders as the general contractor of our renovation project, Joan and I reviewed the many letters of referral that you have in your collection, so I know you really don't need another. However, I feel obligated to add our voices to the chorus singing the praises of you and your company. We have been living in our "new" home for several months now and are extremely happy with the results. You transformed our dreams and the architect?s plans into reality. At times we still can't believe how great it all turned out! Thank you for making it possible and for making the entire process as pain-free as possible.
I have watched "This Old House" and other home improvement shows on TV for many years and was always impressed by the craftsmanship and professionalism of the various contractors and tradesmen whose work was documented. I always wondered where they found the various plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc. because I didn?t think they existed anywhere that I lived. The people who worked on various home improvement projects for us over the years barely resembled these people. I concluded that these people were professional actors or it they were the real thing, then they only existed in Boston or wherever the filming was done! However, I have now discovered the secret; hire John Regina as your general contractor. You, Joe and the rest of your company as well as all of the subcontractors you employ are outstanding. Since I was around for most of the project, I was able to observe first hand the entire renovation from start to finish. I was continually amazed at the skills and professionalism of everyone. The completed project is a testament to this. And to top it all, our project is being featured on HGTV's "Renovations"! Who would of thunk it!
As we neared completion of this project. Joe said to me "we will not leave until you are completely happy". This was not just an idle comment. It summed up Joe's attitude and reflected your philosophy and the way you actually do business. And you demand that any subcontractor who works for you share this philosophy or he doesn't work for you for long.
Although I intend this letter to be an endorsement for your entire company, I really need to make it more personal. From our first meeting almost a year ago, Joan and I felt very comfortable dealing with you. You have worked for many years to build a reputation for honesty, integrity and professionalism and it is well deserved. I imagine that some people, due to the less than stellar reputation of many general contractors, might be nervous about your "cost plus" method of billing. However, when you are dealing with a contractor such as you who can be trusted to "do the right thing", this is the only way to go. As the project proceeded, you made many suggestions, based on your vast knowledge of construction methods and products, for improving upon the architect's drawings, which resulted in a superior final product. You never pushed these changes in order to increase your revenue. You merely presented the possibilities to us, were mindful of our budget, and allowed us to make the final decision. Prior to, and during construction, you were able to spot defects and deficiencies in the architect's plans (you assure me that they all make them) and correct them before they created serious problems.
You stated early on that you would strive for perfection, knowing that you would never quite achieve it. You backed up your dedication to quality by constantly inspecting the progress of our renovation and your eye for detail insured that the final outcome came as close to perfection as possible. I know at times some of the subcontractors thought their work was ?good enough? and didn?t appreciate your telling them otherwise. But, I know they respected your craftsmanship and professionalism and ultimately they always agreed to ?tweak? things a little more to make it good enough for John Regina.
Lastly, Joan and I are pleased to call you and Patty our friends. I know we are not the first clients you have become friends with and certainly will not be the last. I'll bet there are not many other general contractors out there that can claim that. But to me, this sums up what you are all about. Doing business with John Regina is like doing business with a trusted friend. Who could ask for more?
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Ron Ditmars
